UpdatesWe are pleased to announce the launch of a special website dedicated to Sakata Seed Corporation’s exhibition at GREEN×EXPO 2027.
Sakata Seed Corporation will exhibit at GREEN×EXPO 2027,
the International Horticultural Expo 2027, Yokohama, Japan.
Sakata Seed Corporation, founded in Yokohama in 1913,
presents the wonder and fascination of seeds—the very origin of
plant life—and the unique joy of growing plants from seed.
Through the introduction of new varieties and a wide range of initiatives,
we offer visions for the future while presenting ideas
that deepen the connection between people and plants.
At GREEN×EXPO 2027, Sakata Seed Corporation will present a garden exhibition
in the International Exhibition zone and host an exhibition
in a special exhibition hall in the Farm & Food Village.
In addition, limited‑time indoor exhibitions are planned for nine days
each in May and July 2027 in the Indoor Exhibition zone.
Sakata Seed Green Service Co., Ltd. will present
a garden exhibition in the Urban GX Village.

Theme: “Seed Journey”
Seeds are often described as the very beginning of all plant life. In this exhibition, we invite visitors to discover the wonder, intrigue, and fascination of seeds through immersive exhibits.
The exhibition also offers opportunities to explore the future that seeds and people can create together, as well as the potential that lies ahead.

Theme: "Hyakka-Sairan:
A Celebration of
Flowers and Vegetables”
Through a wide variety of garden designs that incorporate the latest bedding plant varieties, Sakata Seed Corporation presents ideas that connect people with plants and nature.
The exhibition will feature:
-Blue‑themed flowers inspired by the image of Yokohama
-Seasonal flowers arranged around a central sculptural feature
-Japanese modern–style gardens that blend traditional and contemporary design
-Potager gardens where vegetables, herbs, and ornamental flowers coexist in harmony

Theme: “An Ideal Way of Living
in Harmony with Nature”
Nature is deeply rooted in people’s everyday lives and is an essential presence for our existence. We hope that rich, green nature will always remain part of the shared landscape of people’s hearts, and that we can continue to live alongside nature for generations to come. With these sentiments in mind, Sakata Green Service proposes an ideal way of living in harmony with nature.

Theme: “Hill of Happiness
& Farm Table” in May
This exhibition creates a calming and welcoming space where a flower‑covered hill is harmoniously combined with a farm table.
By bringing attractive flowers and distinctive vegetables closer to visitors, we present a floral landscape that evokes the image of a “happy tomorrow” and inspires new ways of enjoying plants in daily life.
Another themed exhibition is scheduled in July.
