Sakata Seed Corporation Special Exhibition
Farm & Food Village
Theme: ”Seed Journey”
The exhibition will convey the wonder, fascination, and appeal of seeds, the “very beginning of all beginnings.”
Inside the Special Exhibition Hall, visitors will experience the vitality and potential of seeds through sight, sound, touch, and scent. Visitors will also learn about the remarkable reproductive strategies and adaptations that seeds have acquired over time in order to survive.
By following the journey of seeds before they reach people around the world, including breeding, seed production, and quality control, visitors will be able to experience the work of a seed company. The exhibition will offer an opportunity to reflect on the vitality of plants, the history people have built together with seeds, and the possibilities for a future created by seeds and people.
Sakata Seed Corporation Garden Exhibition
International Exhibition
Theme: "Hyakka-Sairan: A Celebration of Flowers and Vegetables"
The garden will feature blue-toned flower beds inspired by the skies and sea of Yokohama; beds of seasonal flowers surrounding the central “Future Bloom” sculptural feature; modern Japanese-style flower beds; and potager gardens combining vegetables, herbs, and ornamental flowers. Incorporating the latest bedding plant varieties, the garden will propose new ways for people to engage with plants.
“Future Bloom” represents the way seeds connect people and nature, encouraging each visitor to reflect on the future. By drawing attention not only to flowers but also to the vegetables and herbs that support our food supply, the garden will invite visitors to experience how plants enrich our lives and connect people with one another and with nature.

An unseen future begins to bloom here.
At the center of the garden blooms a flower that does not yet exist in this world.
“Future Bloom” is a sculptural feature symbolizing the potential held within seeds and the future that people and plants can create together.
Nature, wisdom, society, culture, technology, and emotions nurtured around the world overlap and come together, leading toward a future landscape that has yet to be named.
Standing before this flower, visitors may feel that the future is not something far away, but something we can begin nurturing here and now.
Design Motif
The design features kokihanada, a deep blue that evokes the sky and sea stretching into the future, and moegi, a yellow-green symbolizing the emergence of new life.
Together, the two colors represent an encounter between wisdom and culture passed down through generations and new possibilities yet to emerge.
The patterns on the petals were inspired by kintsugi, the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and gold.
They express a vision of co-creation between people and plants, in which different cultures, values, forms of wisdom, and technologies meet, connect, and generate new value.
“Future Bloom” embodies the hope that diverse possibilities nurtured around the world will come together and lead us into the future.
Sakata Seed Corporation Limited-Time Indoor Exhibition
Indoor Exhibition
Theme: “A Hill of Happiness - Farm Table”
A landscape where flowers and food exist side by side enriches the human spirit.
Centered on campanula, this exhibition will create a setting that combines a flower-covered hill with a farm table. It captures a happy moment from everyday life: a meal enjoyed among flowers.
Through a landscape that connects flowers, vegetables, and people, visitors will be invited to discover the small joys found in daily life.
Theme: “A Tree of Flowers and Dreams - A Blossoming Path”
Imagine a tree that blooms with flowers as if in a dream.
This exhibition will create a fantastical floral space combining trees and lisianthus. A rich variety of lisianthus in different colors and forms will bloom in abundance, leading visitors along a dreamlike path of flowers.
The exhibition will invite visitors to experience the beauty and diversity of flowers created through Sakata Seed Corporation’s many years of breeding expertise and to discover the limitless potential of flowers.
Sakata Green Service Garden Exhibition
Urban GX Village
Theme: “An Ideal Way of Living in Harmony with Nature”
“Nature is not something separate or extraordinary, but a presence woven into everyday life.”
Nature is rooted in our lives and essential to our existence. Guided by a desire to continue living alongside it for generations to come, Sakata Green Service will propose a new ideal way of life in which nature and daily living blend seamlessly together.
Following the flow of a biotope stream, the landscape will gradually transition from vibrant plantings of colorful perennials and annuals to a more natural setting featuring a wide range of native species, including trees and wild plants.
The garden will propose spaces that combine elements closely connected to daily life, such as Yokohama-inspired red brick and sofas placed beneath a pergola, with plants and a biotope. It will serve as a “seed” for a future that connects people with nature and with one another, inspiring visitors to imagine their ideal way of life.

Through a wide variety of garden designs that incorporate the latest bedding plant varieties, Sakata Seed Corporation presents ideas that connect people with plants and nature.

Theme: “A Hill of Happiness

This exhibition creates a calming and welcoming space where a flower‑covered hill is harmoniously combined with a farm table.
By bringing attractive flowers and distinctive vegetables closer to visitors, we present a floral landscape that evokes the image of a “happy tomorrow” and inspires new ways of enjoying plants in daily life.

This exhibition presents a floral space where trees and lisianthus come together in gentle harmony.
By showcasing a wide variety of flower shapes and colors, it brings out the richness and diversity of flower, while offering a sense of the value created through Japan’s breeding technologies.
