At SAKATA Group, we divide the world into four regions; Asia/Oceania, North & Central America, South America, and Europe Middle East/Africa. We strive to manage each region appropriately.

Sakata Seed Corporation—The Roles of the Headquarters

The functions of the headquarters are directing SAKATA Group and the Asia/Oceania region, and functioning as one of the operating companies in Japan.

Directing SAKATA Group (Sakata Seed Corporation and its subsidiaries)

Regional directing companies are placed to supervise each of the three regions; North & Central America, South America, and Europe/Middle East/Africa. Sakata Seed Corporation and the regional directing companies discuss management issues and aim to optimize the entire group.

Directing Asia/Oceania region.

Sakata Seed Corporation directly supervises the Asia/Oceania region. It discusses business strategies with subsidiaries in the Asia/Oceania region.

Functioning as an operating company in Japan and supervising domestic subsidiaries

In addition to functioning as an operating company in Japan, Sakata Seed Corporation also supervises domestic subsidiaries.

The SAKATA Group sells products such as vegetable seeds, flower seeds, bulbs, and young plants, as well as agricultural and horticultural supplies.

We produce and procure products, such as vegetable seeds, flower seeds, bulbs, and young plants, as well as agricultural and horticultural supplies, and domestically sell them in bulk to seed companies, etc.
