Sakata Seed Corporation (Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan; President: Tsutomu Kagami) has established its Flower & Greenery Exhibition concept at the International Horticultural Expo 2027 (GREEN×EXPO 2027). SAKATA Group concept, which will serve as the foundation across all exhibition themes—including those presented by group company, Sakata Green Service Co., Ltd.—is: “Plant the Seeds. Grow Our Future.”
This concept focuses on the potential of seeds as the origin of plant life and as a source of the richness of daily life, including food and livelihoods. It expresses the company’s intention to encourage visitors to envision and experience the future that grows from seeds. The concept also highlights the potential of seeds to create meaningful impact on a global scale. While seeds are small, they have the power to drive meaningful change. It also conveys the company’s aspiration to nurture the future together with people around the world, extending beyond SAKATA Group.
In addition, the exhibition theme for the limited-time indoor exhibition scheduled for July 2027 has been decided as:“A Tree of Flowers and Dreams – A Blossoming Path”. An exhibition image has also been released on the dedicated website. This exhibition will present a floral space combining trees and lisianthus. By showcasing a wide variety of flower shapes and colors, it will highlight the diversity of flowers and demonstrate the value created through Japan’s breeding technologies.
Under this concept, SAKATA Group plans to present a total of five exhibitions across garden exhibitions, a special exhibition hall, and indoor exhibitions. Through its participation in GREEN×EXPO 2027, SAKATA Group aims to propose a happier future built together with plants.
